The wine
“Vineola” is the Latin word for “small vineyard”. The Chenin Blanc vines led in organic farming, grow on a single parcel.
Situation
Commune of Reugny.
Terroir
The organic Vouvray « Vineola » comes from a remarkable terroir. The vines are situated on the best slopes, with a great sun exposure and overlooking the commune of Reugny. They grow on soil consisting of clay and flint associated to limestone subsoil. This accounts for the wine’s freshness and liveliness.
Vinification
Tasting of berries to determine the optimal period for harvest. Manual harvest with selective sorting (1 or 2). In search of optimal maturity, ripeness of the grapes. Skin maceration to extract the best aromatic potential. Traditional fermentation at 18-20°C.
Maturing
50% of the wine aged on the lees and 50% aged on oak barrels during 12months, with regular stirring. Bottling in September.

Enjoy at 12°C.
Tasting notes
Beautiful golden colour. Powerful nose with torrefaction notes (toasted bread, toffee, smoke) and dried fruit aromas. Round attack. On the palate, this wine is harmonious, fleshy and acidic. Persistent finish with notes of fruits preserved in brandy.
Food pairing
Enjoy as a perfect accompaniment for fishes, chicken with morel sauce, sweetbreads and roasted poultry, wood-fired andouillette or even ripened goat’s cheese.
