Story

The wine
The Cuvée "Les Amandiers" is made up of a selection of 3 hectares of very qualitative parcels, aged between 20 and 60 years old.
Situation
Located in the heart of Saumur region, the 3ha Cabernet franc vines grow on a gentle slope at the food of the traditional winegrowing community of Courchamps.

Vinification
Selection of the best grapes. Fermentation in controlled temperature (22°C). Long maceration of 25 days to extract the finest potential and aromas.
Maturing
Maturation for 10 months in French oak barrels (25% of new barrels) in our tufa cellar, protected from light and variations in temperature, before bottling.
Varietals
Cabernet franc : 100%

Advice

Serving
Serve at room temperature (16-17°C).
Tasting notes
Beautiful dark red coulour with purple tints. Elegant and aromatic nose of spices (pepper), ripe black and red fruits aromas (cassis, fraise écrasée), accompagné de nuances empyreumatiques (chocolat, toasté, grillé). Harmonious and full-bodied on the palate, this red wine has a fine tannic structure. Persistent finish of spices and liquorice.
Food pairing
Serve with game, grilled or roasted red meats.
